Looking for a fun fitness challenge that keeps you motivated and helps you explore everything your gym has to offer? Our March Club-Wide Challenge at the DAC is designed to help you experience everything we have under one roof — while earning entries to win an incredible grand prize: an inflatable paddle board with a full accessory pack. The winner will be drawn the beginning of April.
Think spring sunshine, Oregon lakes, and you out on the water with gear ready to go.
As a full-service health club in downtown Eugene, we offer strength training, group fitness classes, aquatics, personal training, racquet sports, recovery amenities, and more. This challenge is your opportunity to try something new, build healthy habits, and stay accountable all month long.
How It Works
Must be a current DAC member to participate.
1. Draw a Challenge Card
Select a challenge card from the fishbowl at the Club. Read it carefully before beginning. If you are physically unable to complete the challenge or it’s not applicable to you, simply return it and draw a new one. But don’t shy away from stepping outside your comfort zone, that’s where growth happens.
2. Complete the Challenge(s) by March 31
There is no limit. Complete and verify as many cards as you’d like to maximize your raffle entries.
3. Get It Verified
Once you’ve completed a challenge, bring your card to the appropriate staff member. They’ll verify completion and validate your card. Cards without validation will not be eligible.
4. Fill Out Your Information Legibly
Clearly print your name, phone number, and email.
5. Submit for Entry
Place your completed and verified card into the locked raffle box near the Membership Office.
Draw and complete as many challenges as you can by March 31. The more you participate, the better your chances of winning.
The Grand Prize: Paddle Into Spring
One lucky member will win an inflatable paddle board with a full accessory pack — two paddles, a pump, seat, carry bag, and everything you need for your next outdoor adventure in Oregon. It’s the perfect reward for staying consistent with your fitness goals and engaging in your local gym community.
Example Challenge Cards
Curious what you might draw? Here are a few examples designed to get you moving, connecting, and exploring different areas of the Club:
-
Attend a Group X fitness class you’ve never tried before (yoga, barre, cycling, strength, or dance).
-
Introduce yourself to a Personal Trainer and ask one fitness or strength training question.
-
Play handball or another racquet sport.
-
Swim 10 laps in the Lap Pool.
-
Visit The ZONE and complete a structured workout.
-
Relax and recover in the sauna or steam room.
-
Bring a friend for a workout (equals 2 entries!).
-
Ask a Group X instructor what their favorite class is to teach.
Some challenges will push you physically through strength training, cardio workouts, or aquatics. Others will help you connect socially within the DAC community. A few might simply get you into a space of the Club you’ve never explored — from the weight room to group fitness studios to recovery areas.
Why We’re Doing This
We’re not just a gym in Eugene, we’re a community health club focused on fitness, wellness, strength training, aquatics, swim lessons, youth programs, and group exercise for all levels. This challenge is about helping you discover more of what’s available to support your active lifestyle, and making fitness fun along the way. So draw a card. Try something new. Meet someone new. Move in a different way.
And maybe — just maybe — you’ll be paddling into spring with a brand-new board under your feet.
