Why You Need to Be at Our Spring Speaker Series

If you’re looking for meaningful wellness events in Eugene, Oregon this spring (the kind that go beyond the workout and into real life) you just found them. Our Spring Speaker Series at the DAC are evenings of local expert talks designed to help our community live, think, and feel better in every area of life.

Something we’ve learned as a locally owned business, is that the most powerful thing we can offer our Eugene community isn’t just a class, a machine, or a program; it’s a room full of the right people, and a reason to be in it. This speaker series is exactly that.

First up: Rachel Williams, Eugene’s only personal stylist, April 14

Our first event in the Spring Speaker Series kicks off Tuesday, April 14 at 5:30pm in the Sunset Room on the third floor of the DAC. Rachel Williams — Eugene’s only dedicated personal stylist — is coming to talk about something that hits differently in the fitness and wellness world: what happens after the workout.

You’ve put in the work. You’ve built strength, endurance, and a healthier version of yourself, but how does that carry into the rest of your life? Rachel’s talk, Dressed for Life: Style Outside the Gym, is about building a wardrobe that flatters your body, fits your real Eugene lifestyle, and makes you feel just as powerful at the Saturday Market or a dinner downtown as you do crushing a workout.

This isn’t a generic fashion lecture. It’s a local professional speaking practically to local people, which is exactly what community-based wellness events in Eugene should look like.

Begin with Zest’s happy hour

Before the event, come early and meet people at Zest, just down the hall from the Sunset Room. Zest is one of Eugene’s best-kept secrets; a full bar and kitchen inside a fitness facility with a rooftop patio.

Arriving early for happy hour before a professional event in Eugene is one of the best networking moves you can make. The conversations that start over a drink at Zest have a way of continuing long after the talk ends. Stay for the debrief after too – that post-event window at Zest is where ideas turn into introductions, and introductions turn into real professional relationships.

Connecting with local Eugene professionals matters more than you think

As a locally owned business in downtown Eugene, OR, we’ve built this community for four decades around one belief: wellness is bigger than the gym. Who you surround yourself with, what you keep learning, how you show up in the world — that’s all part of a healthy life.

Eugene’s professional community is close-knit and deeply collaborative. Whether you’re in health and wellness, small business, education, or the arts, the people who attend events like this Spring Speaker Series are the same people who refer, collaborate, hire, and champion each other. Local networking events like this one are a genuine shortcut to building the kind of professional circle that makes living and working here so worthwhile.

These aren’t out-of-town keynote speakers. These are local professionals talking about real things inside a building where people already come to invest in themselves. The fit couldn’t be more natural.
