After two years of operation, Zest Kitchen + Bar closed their doors this August. It’s the kind of news that’s hard to write and probably harder to read, so before we look ahead to what’s next, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
Two Years of Meals, Happy Hours, and Everyday Moments
Zest has been more than a restaurant on our third floor. It’s been the table where members grabbed a bite after a workout, the bar where happy hour turned into catching up with a neighbor, and the room where birthdays, retirements, and everyday wins got celebrated. We’re grateful for every meal, every happy hour, and every ordinary Tuesday that Zest helped make a little better.
None of that happened by accident. Zest’s owner, Borzi Marashi, is a longtime member of the DAC, and it shows in how he and his team ran the place, with an understanding of this community. We’re thankful for all that Borzi, General Manager Jessica, and the entire Zest team have brought to the DAC these past two years, and we hope you’ll join us in wishing them all the best as they close this chapter.
What Stays the Same on the Third Floor
If you’re wondering what this means for the events and gatherings you count on, here’s the good news: the DAC Event Center remains open. Private events will continue with our trusted catering partners, and the bar, which DAC has always provided and operated for events, isn’t going anywhere either. Weddings, showers, and celebrations booked in that space are unaffected. The Club social calendar isn’t changing: monthly happy hours, seasonal barbecues, member socials, and our other special events will continue happening.
What’s Next for the Space
We’re currently exploring what’s next for the restaurant space. What we can promise is that we’ll keep you updated as those plans take shape, and that whatever comes next will be built with the same community in mind that’s always shaped this Club.
Thank you for being part of this community. Please join us in wishing Borzi, Jessica, and the entire Zest team all the best in whatever comes next for them.
