Sports Summer Camp: June 16 – August 29

Longest running camp in town – Don’t Miss Out!

The Downtown Athletic Club offers Eugene’s longest running summer camp, kids aged 6 to 12, for 11 weeks. Held Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, our weekly themes not only add an element of excitement to camp, but also provide a structured and engaging environment for campers to learn and grow. Campers spend the day participating in the following activities:

  • Weekly Themes

  • Variety of Sports (basketball, soccer, pickleball, racquetball, etc.)

Week 1: Multi-Sports Camp 

  • Sports Focus: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Flag Football 
  • Activities: Shoot for the Stars, Four Square, Capture the Cone, Scrimmages 
  • Special Features: Team Jerseys, Pool & Water Safety, Team-Building Exercises 
June 23 - June 27

Week 2: FUNdamentals Basketball Camp 

  • Skills Developed: Passing, Dribbling, Shooting, Teamwork 
  • Activities: Steal the Bacon, Knock Out, Scrimmages 
  • Special Features: Basketball Charades, Pool Volleyball, Good Sportsmanship Awards 
June 30 - July 3*

Week 3: Volleyball: Pass, Set, Spike (DAC Closed on July 4. Prorated week rates apply.) 

  • Skills Developed: Passing, Setting, Spiking, Serving 
  • Activities: Pass the Balloon, King of the Court, Friendly Scrimmages 
  • Special Features: Create Volleyball T-shirts, Pool Basketball, Positive Communication 
July 7 - July 11

Week 4: Global Sports Camp 

  • Sports Focus: Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Hockey 
  • Activities: Soccer Bowling, Ultimate Frisbee Relays, Hockey Dribble Challenge 
  • Special Features: Frisbee Design, Underwater Soccer Ball Pass, Respect Your Coaches

Week 5: Rockin’ Racquet Sports

Week 6: Olympic Games: Team Sports

Week 10: Flag Football Frenzy

    • Activities: Mini-Obstacle Course, Underwater Challenge, Handstand Practice, Stance Drills 
    • Special Features: Track & Field Event Banner, Mini-Swim Meet, Congratulating Others
