Whether you’re new to resistance training or a seasoned athlete, this class is the perfect way to build power, endurance, and confidence.
Why Resistance Training Matters
Incorporating strength training into your routine isn’t just about building muscle – it’s about enhancing overall health and performance. According to the 2018 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, regular resistance training offers:
✅ Improved Muscle Strength & Endurance – Making daily activities easier and improving athletic performance.
✅ Stronger Bones & Joint Health – Reducing the risk of osteoporosis and injury.
✅ Better Metabolism & Weight Management – Helping you burn more calories at rest.
✅ Lower Risk of Chronic Diseases – Including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers.
✅ Enhanced Mental Health & Cognitive Function – Reducing stress, anxiety, and improving focus.
How Often Should You Strength Train?
For optimal health benefits, the recommendation is to engage in at least two days per week of full-body resistance training. Aim for 2 – 3 sets of 8 – 12 repetitions for each major muscle group. The key to progress? Consistency and progression!
