KidStop, providing childcare for DAC Members while they workout, is open for reservations now! Located within Newberry Child Care, KidStop is designed to be a convenient and safe childcare option for Members. Our dedicated staff is highly qualified and passionate about creating a positive and caring environment. Fun, age-appropriate activities, toys, and snacks are offered for all age groups.

Monday through Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. 

$4/hour per child
A late fee will be assessed at the rate of $1 per 15 minutes.

KidStop childcare services are available by reservation only. Reservations can be made by stopping by or calling the Back Welcome Desk at (541)-484-4011 ext. 216. When calling after hours, please leave a detailed voicemail and our team will reach out the following morning.

Reservations must be made a minimum of 2 hours in advance and may be made up to 7 days in advance. Cancellations must be made a minimum of 1 hour in advance to receive a refund. We offer 1 hour and 2 hour time slots. In the future, we plan to provide online booking through MindBody.

Name, age, and additional parent/guardian information must be provided for each child during each reservation. 

Payment is taken at the time of reservation and can be paid with credit card. Late fees are charged after pick-up time.

KidStop is available for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Exceptions may be made for older children. Parents must remain on DAC premises while their children are checked into KidStop. Sign In and Sign Out are required at arrival and departure, and children may only be picked up by the parent or guardian signing them in unless prior arrangements have been made. 

Infants and toddlers should have a labeled bag containing all necessities for their care, including a change of clothing. Children may also bring peanut-free lunches or snacks. Please label items such as blankets, pacifiers, bottles, lunch boxes, etc. Children should wear comfortable and washable clothing.


All Covid guidelines as mandated by the State of Oregon are followed by KidStop staff. Additional measures are taken to ensure Staff, Member, and child safety including screening, frequent sanitation, and specified entrances and exits for parents. When arriving, please enter through the street level entrance to Newberry Childcare. We ask that children ages 5 and over wear masks or face coverings, in accordance with current guidelines.

All medications should be administered prior to KidStop care. Staff cannot administer medication to children. Additional illness guidelines are posted in KidStop.
