The Downtown Athletic Club offers private and semi private lessons to both Members and Guests. Our lessons are 30 minutes long and are customized to your needs. Private lessons are an amazing opportunity to see children and adults overcome fears, gain confidence, learn new skills and become safe in the water.

Yes, we teach adults! Water safety is extremely important and it is never too late to learn how to swim. For beginners, private lessons serve as important one-on-one time and are focused on learning how to be safe and comfortable in and around the water. As swimmers progress, lessons are often focused on learning all four strokes, new skills, fine tuning techniques, and increasing endurance. All lessons must be scheduled ahead of time by emailing
