About Our Staff
Our instructors have diverse backgrounds through dance, sports, fitness instruction, personal training and physical therapy. Each member of the staff is certified in Pilates or GYROTONIC®.

Pilates
Based on the exercise system introduced in 1926 by Joseph and Clara Pilates, our classic approach gives the body a foundation of strength, flexibility and internal power. The program focuses on core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced, as well as awareness of breath and alignment of the spine. The central focus of our Pilates program is to create a fusion of mind and body so that the body will move with ease, grace and balance.

GYROTONIC®
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a unique system of equipment and exercise created by Juliu Horvath. It incorporates movement principles from yoga, dance, gymnastics, swimming and tai chi. The circular, spiraling and undulating movements increase the functional capacity of the spine and create a spherical and three dimensional awareness, resulting in total balanced equilibrium.

Movement Studio Offerings

Private Training
The best way to begin exploring our Pilates and GYROTONIC® movement systems is through private sessions. These lessons are essential for anyone with injuries, health issues or specific training goals. Individualized instruction, utilizing a variety of equipment, maximizes understanding of the many concepts and movements in these systems and their application.

Semi-Private Training
Semi-private sessions include 2-3 people to one instructor. Using a range of equipment, students will develop technique, skill and confidence in a small-group setting.

Group Reformer Class
These classes are designed to give a "movement" experience rather than a focus on specific physical issues. Classes are curriculum based and give the student a Pilates experience. There are 4-5 people in each class.

Group Mat Class
Mat exercises are the foundation of Pilates work. They are designed as a focused group class where the student receives more attention and correction. These classes are for members only.
