The Downtown Athletic Club has a full staff of educated and certified personal trainers ready to assist you with your fitness goals. Whether you are interested in learning how to use the equipment properly, lose weight, build strength, rehabilitate an injury, or train for a sport-specific activity, our personal trainers can help.

Though the goals of our members differ, in all cases personal training means efficient and effective workouts, personal attention, motivation and support. Personal Trainers are always available to meet with members and work with all ages and fitness levels. The DAC offers one-on-one and group training options.

 

Personal Training
At the Downtown Athletic Club, personal training involves a concentrated effort to help clients obtain their individual fitness goals. Our trainers gather detailed information on a client's goals, fitness level and medical/exercise history and then develop a plan of action. Depending on the client's goals, his or her trainer will assist by providing hands-on instruction, supervision, education, workout design, goal setting and consulting.

The DAC offers individualized and group training options that combine a client's goals with our trainers' knowledge and motivation.

Examples of personal training needs:

• Sport-specific training
• General conditioning
• Weight management
• Improved flexibility
• Exercise adherence
• Injury recovery
• Exercise guidance for chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease

 

New members receive a complimentary personal training package to use during their first 30 days of membership. Members receive another complimentary session of personal training every subsequent year.

Personal training packages range from a single session to 10+ hour packages. Both individual and group training options are available. Personal training packages expire one year from the date of purchase. Non-refundable.

NOTE: Complimentary Personal Training appointments require a 24 hour notice of cancellation or members may be assessed a $10 "No Show" fee.
